Spaghetti and Meatballs
This takes about 3 hours to make and can serve 4-5 people.
Jennene loves this meal!
Ingredients
Sauce
- 2 small-med onions, chopped fine
- 2tbs Olive Oil
- 29oz canned diced tomatos
- 10-12oz tomato paste
- 6 cloves of chopped garlic
- 1tbs Oregeno
- 1tbs Majoram
- 1tbs Basil
- 1tsp sugar
- 1tbs Salt
- 1-2oz whole, small, button mushrooms
- 2c beef broth, unsalted
- 1/2c grated parmesan cheese
Meat Balls
- 3/4lb Ground Pork
- 1lb ground beef
- 3 cloves of chopped garlic
- 2 eggs
- 1 large handful bread stuff
- 1tbs oregeno
- 1/2c coarse ground parmesan cheese
Instructions
Sauce
- sweat chopped onions in olive oil until tender
- pour in the rest, except the mushrooms
- bring to a simmer, simmer for 1 hour
- after one hour add meatballs, simmer 1.5 more hours
- at 30 min remaining, add mushrooms
Meatballs
- mush everything together in bowl for just barely even distribution
- form 2" balls
- sear the balls until dark brown with a hot pan
- set balls aside until sauce is ready
- finish cooking in the sauce
All together
- Cook up some spaghetti
- Put sauce and meatballs on cooked spaghetti
- Remember, it takes about 30min to cook the noodle because you have to get the water boiling

Nov 22, 2009: Made this for the first time and loved it. But used four eggs instead of 2. Meatballs were really runny. I reduced the number of eggs to 2 after that. They still tasted great!
