Spaghetti and Meatballs

This takes about 3 hours to make and can serve 4-5 people.

Meat Balls

Instructions

Sauce

  1. sweat chopped onions in olive oil until tender
  2. pour in the rest, except the mushrooms
  3. bring to a simmer, simmer for 1 hour
  4. after one hour add meatballs, simmer 1.5 more hours
  5. at 30 min remaining, add mushrooms

Meatballs

  1. mush everything together in bowl for just barely even distribution
  2. form 2" balls
  3. sear the balls until dark brown with a hot pan
  4. set balls aside until sauce is ready
  5. finish cooking in the sauce

All together

  1. Cook up some spaghetti
  2. Put sauce and meatballs on cooked spaghetti
  3. Remember, it takes about 30min to cook the noodle because you have to get the water boiling

NOTES

Nov 22, 2009: Made this for the first time and loved it. But used four eggs instead of 2. Meatballs were really runny. I reduced the number of eggs to 2 after that. They still tasted great!
